The Most Beautiful Statue in Paris

Here we probably see my favorite statue in Paris. This is Parmentier, the father of the french potato, giving a potato to peasant. Look at the stance of peasant and how grateful and humble he is. I hope he knows what to do with it.

Address:Parmentier;75011 Paris;France

  1. Dearest,

did you recognize that Parmentier must have been a woman? Just take a closer look at the second picture (trouser area, you know). Wonder if they would have built a statue for a woman? And maybe the potatoe is just a metaphor for a slightly different present the farmer receives… Grrr. Hope you all had a wonderful and thankful Easter!

  2. Yes!!! That must be the case. I did not notice it earlier. Thank you careful and intelligent spectator :)
