Right in the cool part of Stockholm near medborgarplatsen, and close to Kvarnen you have this beauty. That has the uncanny capacity to dampen your spirits as you head out through Stockholm’s night life. It is a grey building, but efforts have been made to add color, but somehow the colors, just add to the grey. What I love about this building is the numerous and uniform set of squarish windows, giving this building a feeling of a beehive (fortunately not as full of life). Some efforts have been put to make the balconies nice. Nice try, your efforts are futile. Ugliness prevails!
Built in 1951 by the Architect Georg Varhelyi it is an example of modernist architecture for commercial buildings.
